Apple Versus Samsung: Patent Wars Have Begun

These mobile tech patent wars are almost ridiculous as asking- who invented and reinvented the rectangle?


Apple is bitching Samsung is miming whatever tech and aesthtic they're churning out, stealing designs and user engagement programming in their wares. Samsung tells Apple to shut up that its ideas are modified rehash of what's out there already which Apple absolutely did not first create. Meanwhile, Samsung screams theft at Apple for pilfering a few of its wireless tech and that they should be paid instead.

Both companies pre-date each other, competition maybe head-to-head, but they should stop bitchin' and keep innovating, they can keep the cycle of borrowing and improving ideas from each other. Both companies should grow up and stop psyching each other out. 

Microsoft ‘Surface’ Tablet PC

Apparently, Microsoft is not dead. Its Microserfs have been busy on the sidelines while letting Apple dominate the electronics market for more than decade, even way past Steve Jobs' demise.

Now Microsoft, the sleeping giant is in the running again. Microsoft, being the closest giant that can go head-to-head with Apple in terms of computing and electronics have moved into the game by introducing “Surface”, Microsoft’s tablet to compete with iPad. So is it even charming and visually alluring as an iPad? Or just like anything from Microsoft of yore, does it still look a bit evil? Windows and Macintosh OS, iOS and Windows for phones- new mobile rivals to the end. The Microsoft ‘Surface’ Tablet PC is 9.3 millimeter thick, weighs around 1.5 pounds and runs on Windows RT operating system. The debut version is expected on fall 2012 to coincide with the release of Windows 8.

Facebook Smartens Up with Plans of Launching Its Own Smartphone

Is this news you would actually 'Like'? Facebook will unveil its smartphone by 2013.

According to The New York Times, Facebook has been busy recruiting the best engineers to work on the FB smartphone hardware. Known as the social network’s 3rd try to develop a decent smartphone. This timely news comes as the Goog has recently acquired Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. Facebook obviously doesn't want to be left behind so it has up its ante into the smartphone hardware business. It has enough funding in its coffers to do what the Goog does and venture on profitable hardware tech.
